Routine GP Appointments
We offer 10 minute appointments.
They can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance.
They are available at different times in the day, including Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Urgent, same day GP Appointments
Please only ask for an urgent appointment if you can’t wait for a routine appointment.
These are available for urgent problems.
You will be assessed by the Triage nurse who will discuss the most appropriate course of action for you.
Triage
If you request an urgent, same day appointment, you will be rung back by the triage nurse. This specially trained and highly qualified nurse will assess your symptoms and decide on the most appropriate management for you. This may involve treatment over the phone, being seen in the Minor Illness Clinic or an urgent doctor appointment.
Minor Illness Clinic
This run by specially trained nurses and is for dealing with common general practice problems such as ear pain, urine infections and sore throats. The nurse will assess your condition, examine you as appropriate and provide you with the relevant treatment. They are supported by the duty doctor.
Annual Reviews
We like to assess your repeat prescriptions at least annually. This may involve having a blood test, seeing a nurse or doctor or even completing a questionnaire. We will review your current medication and make any changes necessary.
