We offer extended hours on Saturday mornings between 09:00am - 12:00pm, at the main Kingthorne Practice on Thorne Road only.

Prescriptions – How to order

SystmOne Online

You can order your repeat prescriptions via our online services. You will need a username and password for this, contact us if you do not have one. Click TPP SystmOnline.

In Person or Post

Complete your Repeat Slip by ticking or underlining the items needed, then drop this into our 'Prescription Box' in Surgery or post it to our address.

Online Services

SystmOne Online - LOGIN HERE


This service allows you to order your repeat prescriptions, as well as book, check or cancel appointments with Doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurses and Health Care Assistants. You can also view your medical records & blood results.

If you would like to sign up for SystmOne Online services please visit the surgery with one of the valid forms of Photo ID and the Team with will be able to issue you with a secure password.

Valid forms of ID include: Photographic ID and something to confirm your address

If you are aged 12-15years old please make an appointment with the Healthcare Assistant to check competency.

Which Appointment to Book?

Please be careful when you book your appointment on SystmOne online

Check that you book into an appropriate appointment. If it has been booked incorrectly, we may have to cancel it for you to rearrange.


Below is a list of the groups of clinicians you can book appointments with, and the services they can provide.


If you have an urgent problem and there isn't an appointment in a suitable timescale, please telephone the Practice so we can advise you further.

Healthcare Assistants

Who:

Emma Bartlett, Becky Moore, Chlore Moore, Katie Wilson and Amy Geddes.


What they do:

  • ECG’s
  • Blood test
  • Blood Pressure Check
  • Ear Syringing -Rebecca Moore Only
  • Dressing Changes
  • Suture Removals
  • B12 Injections
  • Vaccinations for Flu, Pneumonia and Shingles
  • Annual Reviews for Chronic Diseases - in your Birthday month:
  • Diabetes 6 Month Check
  • Diabetes Yearly Check
  • Heart Disease
  • Hypertension
  • Kidney Disease


Please add a reason to your appointment so we know why you are attending & can ensure you are booked with the correct clinician.

If you have booked incorrectly we may cancel the appointment and contact you to rearrange.



Nurse Appointments

Who:

Carolyn Nurse, Linsay Sanders-Cowley, Kirsty Wade, Josh Kent and Jasmine Brocklesby.


What they do:

10 Minute Appointments - Smears, Ongoing Pill Checks, Ongoing contraceptive injections, Zoladex Injections and Suture removals.

20 Minute Appointments - Asthma Annual Review and COPD Annual Review. For these, please book 2 appointments together.


Travel Vaccinations - If you believe you need travel vaccinations please call the surgery and one of our Clinicians will call you back to discuss your vaccination needs before you make an appointment.


Liquid Nitrogen Clinics - We have set clinics for this, please call the surgery to check when they are.



Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP’s)

Who:

Dr M Coleman, Dr M Leighton, Dr I Rezk, Dr Jacobs, Dr Wilkinson, Dr Owolabi, Dr Nwosu, Dr Thaver and Dr Walmsley.


Our GP’s have routine appointment telephone slots Monday to Saturday that are 10 minutes long, if you wish to discuss more than one problem you will need to make a double appointment (two slots is 20 Minutes).

If the clinician wishes to see you face to face they can arrange this with you.




Who:

David Roberts, Wendy Walmsley and Kate Robinson.


What they do:

Medication reviews, sick notes, onward referrals to secondary care, discuss results, prescribe when necessary, diagnose and assess complex medical conditions.


Please be aware that ANP’s have routine telephone appointment slots Monday to Saturday that are 10 minutes long. If you wish to discuss more than one problem you will need to book a double appointment (two slots is 20 minutes).

If the clinician wishes to see you face to face they will arrange this with you.




Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP's)

Who: Alison Howard, Vicky Walmsley and Wendy Rogers.


What they do:

Medication reviews, sick notes, onward referrals to secondary care, discuss results, prescribe when necessary, diagnose and assess complex medical conditions.
