Zero Tolerance Policy

Our practice is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

We operate a zero tolerance policy towards any form of violence, aggression, abuse, harassment, or threatening behaviour, whether in person, over the telephone, online, or in writing.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  •  Physical violence or threats of violence.
  • Verbal abuse, shouting, swearing, or intimidating behaviour.
  • Harassment, discrimination, racism or offensive language.
  • Damage to property.
  • Aggressive behaviour towards staff, other patients, or visitors.
  • Abuse via social media, email, or other digital communication.

Our staff have the right to carry out their work without fear of abuse or intimidation. We ask everyone to treat others with courtesy, dignity, and respect.

Where unacceptable behaviour occurs, the practice may:

  • Ask the individual to leave the premises.
  • Contact the police where appropriate.
  • Issue a formal warning.
  • Remove the patient from the practice list in accordance with NHS regulations, where it is safe and appropriate to do so.

We understand that people may be anxious, upset, or unwell, and we will always strive to listen and resolve concerns respectfully. However, abusive or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone.
